For much of the 20th Century, Wheaton Industries was one of the region's largest employers, its success in glassmaking reflected in its global business connections.
But when the company closed its doors more than a decade ago, its expansive holdings remained unused for many years.
Two years ago, three successful local businessmen purchased the large property in Millville, Cumberland County, with the dream of transforming it into a model for business in the new millennium.
It was then that GlassWorks was born.
